Brandon Brooks has been working hard as he recovers from the Achilles injury he suffered back in January. The Philadelphia Eagles’ Pro Bowl guard shared another encouraging update on Monday:
Had a special moment today. Was on the treadmill and had my last sprint at 14 mph and had the whole weight room full of teammates cheer me on. Our group is special and sincerly mean that. I thank God for teammates, coaches and the fans #FlyEaglesFly

Two big takeaways here:
1) Great to hear Brooks is sprinting after a little under four months since the injury occurred.
Back in January, Brooks said he expected a six-to-eight month recovery period. A 2014 study showed an average return time of about nine months for Achilles injuries, so Brooks’ outlook might be on the optimistic side. The Eagles would sure love to have him on the field sooner than later.
2) Awesome to see the kind of support Brooks has in the Eagles’ locker room.
I don’t think it’s always easy for outsiders to judge the quality of a team’s NFL locker room. In the case of this Eagles squad, however, it’s easy to believe they have a strong chemistry. Just look at how they responded to adversity over the past two seasons. This is a special group. Look no further than Brooks receiving further support on social media:
