Polite becomes the fourth of the Jets’ six picks in the 2019 NFL Draft to sign his contract. Fourth round pick Trevon Wesco, fifth round pick Blake Cashman, and sixth round pick Blessaun Austin signed their rookie contracts late last week. These are all four year contracts.
Polite’s fellow third round pick Chuma Edoga still has yet to sign his rookie contract. That is a formality. Edoga’s deal will also last four years when signed.
First round pick Quinnen Williams also remains unsigned. His deal will last four years and have a team option for a fifth year. Williams’ deal is mostly a formality, although a few minor details will need to be hammered out.
