Also Speaks to lack of depth and lack of healthy tackles. They want flowers to compete at LG; spending most of his time at OT https://t.co/ziK3NSJrir
— John Keim (@john_keim) June 7, 2019
This would have made sense even without the Trent Williams situation. #Redskins are desperate for tackle depth. Trent’s situation makes it even more of an issue. Ty Nsekhe is a big loss now, but he was always likely to get a starting job elsewhere. https://t.co/atVMQZskZq

I gotta feeling Jimmy Moreland is going give up TD’s while getting picks too NFL WR’s especially slot guys are definitely crafty & shifty https://t.co/8j6yjxMpFL

The next talking head who suggests that the #Redskins have changed, or beat writer who claims the football operation is the most stable it has been in decades, should have to undergo a procedure by the Redskins medical staff. My column #NFL https://t.co/mCbQkuzJx9

'Comparing Jameis Winston and Carson Wentz By Age' - https://t.co/cMcuUlrwgO pic.twitter.com/OC3f5qwKUG
— Football Perspective (@fbgchase) June 7, 2019
Not sure who has had it worse: Marcus Mariota, who has had 4 different playcallers in 4 years (and a 5th in ‘19) or Jameis Winston, who has only known life under Dirk Koetter.
— Football Perspective (@fbgchase) June 7, 2019
Aaron Rodgers had won 6 career games when he was the age JW/MM are now. https://t.co/cMcuUlJ7Fo
Reminder that Jameis Winston, despite entering the NFL a year before Carson Wentz, is actually a full year younger than Carson Wentz.
— Football Perspective (@fbgchase) June 7, 2019
And with the exception of Wentz's MVP-level season, Winston has been better than him at every age level so far.
At age 24, Winston had an up-and-down year but was about average. Wentz had his MVP-caliber season. So age 24 was the first year where Wentz >>> Winston.
— Football Perspective (@fbgchase) June 7, 2019
Age 25 was Wentz last year, and Winston in 2019. TBD.
At age 22, Winston was an average NFL QB: he averaged 5.98 ANY/A and went 9-7 as a starter. Wentz had a injury-shortened year at NDSU.
— Football Perspective (@fbgchase) June 7, 2019
At age 23, Winston had 3,504 yards, 19 TDs, 11 INTs, and averaged 7.9 Y/A. Wentz threw for 3,782 yards, 16 TDs, 14 INTs, and averaged 6.2 Y/A.

Is there any language in 1st round rookie contracts that explicitly includes the fifth year option? Or is that entirely dictated by Art. 7, §7 of CBA?

— New York Jets (@nyjets) June 8, 2019
Lets hope the #Jets got it right with Douglas. Last two GMs have been terrible. Douglas certainly comes from two of the better run and respected franchises in the NFL.
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) June 8, 2019
Jets are giving former Eagles’ vice president of player personnel Joe Douglas a six-year deal to become their GM, per source.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) June 8, 2019
Jets just would not take “no” as an answer from Joe Douglas. He tried to turn down the Jets and each time he did, they came back at him harder and harder. Jets simply were not going to be denied in their efforts to land the former Eagles’ vice president of player personnel.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) June 8, 2019
I’ll say this: Joe Douglas, regardless of what it took, restores credibility to the Jets organization after a messy month. And you can’t put a price on that.

Visited the grave of my friend’s father and witnessed a remarkable ceremony. The letters on the white crosses almost disappear in the brightness of the stone, so a soldier fills the indentations with sand from Omaha Beach to bring the name forward.
