After waiting all this time for a Raiders player on the NFL’s Top 100 list as voted on by the players themselves, Oakland’s prize offseason acquisition Antonio Brown comes in at number 7 overall.

Brown is the highest-rated wide receiver on the Top 100 list, which as you might imagine has elicited some full-throated kvetching from fans of DeAndre Hopkins and Julio Jones. But Brown has been so good for so long, it’s hard to argue that he doesn’t deserve his spot.
What can be argued is the fact that he’s ranked outside of the top five after spending the last few years solidly inside it. What did Brown do that made him fall? Nothing that I can tell- he’s been amazingly consistent and should be so for Oakland.
Brown is nestled squarely between A. A. Ron Rodgers at #8 and Tom Brady at #6. Todd Gurley comes in at #5. Expect to see some order of Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Donald, Khalil Mack and, who knows, maybe Drew Brees in the top four.
