Arizona Cardinals open up training camp and open up the offense

The idea that Kyler Murray is the franchise is not surprising, but the fact that so many are buying in, or at least seem to be buying into it matters. Murray is a pick that will define the destiny of this franchise for the next five years.

He’s completely bought into Kliff Kingsbury and the offense and the team seems to buy into him.

So, as Jess and I have talked about, A.Q. Shipley will be the starter until he loses it to Mason Cole.

So far as far as the walkthrough reps it’s been...vast majority 10 personnel with 4 wide receivers and occasionally 11 personnel. Max Williams getting more snaps over Seals-Jones seemingly.

Now there’s a fun 12 personnel look that starts as a running play out of a typical 2 TE blocking look running power left only for 2 WRs to release on routes, QB to pull the ball and hit the other TE away from the formation.

Cardinals' rookie QB Kyler Murray winning over the crowd with some beautiful throws to Larry Fitzgerald, including a spectacular one-handed grab on the right sidelines on CB Tramaine Brock, who thinks it should be ruled incomplete. Referee said otherwise.

Murray’s arm is kind of ridiculous.

Seeing a lot of four-wide receiver sets, as expected, out of Kyler Murray and the Cardinals' offense so far today in camp. Even seen some five-wideout sets. It's like a two-minute drill on every first down. Amazing.
