Bears CB Kyle Fuller ranked No. 95 on NFL Top 100 list

NFL: Pro Bowl Fresh off of his first Pro Bowl appearance, Kyle Fuller makes his way onto the NFL Top 100 list. | Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The former first-round pick broke out with a fantastic 2018 campaign.

Last year, Kyle Fuller finally proved himself worthy of his first-round draft status.

After a rather lackluster start to his career, the Bears cornerback broke out with a season that saw him end up with seven interceptions—tied for the most in the NFL—and 22 pass deflections. In addition to his first Pro Bowl appearance and a first-team All-Pro nomination, Fuller now adds another accolade: No. 95 on the 2019 NFL Top 100 list.

Fuller is an intelligent, athletic, and aggressive cornerback whose style of play allows for plenty of opportunities to make big plays. Specializing as the Bears’ best off-man corner, he often gives his receivers a bit of cushion before jumping their route and making a play on the ball. His quick diagnosing abilities help him time his jumps better than most cornerbacks and get him in front of his receivers quickly. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Fuller also has the athleticism and hip fluidity to keep up with receivers in deep zone situations and mirror their routes in deep man.

Fuller is now the first Bears player to appear on the NFL Top 100 list since Matt Forte in 2015. He is also the third Bears cornerback to make the list, joining former Pro Bowlers—and teammates of his—Charles Tillman and Tim Jennings. He is the first defensive Bears player to make the list since Jennings in 2014.
