An unfortunate injury will sideline RGIII for a few weeks
The stadium practice ended on a sour note as Ravens backup quarterback Robert Griffin III suffered an injury to his throwing hand/thumb. When asked by reporters at the end of practice, Griffin didn’t want to comment on what the injury is specifically, but he was clearly frustrated.

In the locker room, Lamar Jackson was asked how he feels about possibly losing Griffin.
Lamar Jackson got a bit emotional about Robert Griffin III. "I didn't really like that at all." Were you concerned? "Definitely, definitely. That's my brother here."

This now leaves a gaping hole for the rest of training camp and the preseason as the team is down to only Jackson and rookie QB Trace McSorley, who is participating in both quarterback and special teams drills.
Looking over the available quarterbacks, only Josh Johnson is a familiar face. There are a few other players available but the Ravens will likely want somebody who can step in and play quickly as their first preseason game is less than two weeks away.
The long-term situation doesn’t sound so dire, as ESPN’s Jamison Hensley is reporting that the injury will only sideline Griffin for a few weeks.

The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec reporting the injury is a small fracture.
Robert Griffin III has a small fracture in his thumb, per sources. Will miss some time, but Ravens still optimistic he'll be ready for Week One.
