Vikings All-Important Third Preseason Game™ to air live on NFL Network

Good news for those of us far from God’s country

For those of us that aren’t close to the Twin Cities area, we usually have to wait for the NFL Network to show replays of the Minnesota Vikings’ preseason contest, most of which come at some ungodly hour during the work week. (Thank goodness for DVR.) Fortunately, at least one preseason game for the Vikings will be aired live as it happens to everywhere across the land.

The NFL Network has announced their schedule of live preseason broadcasts, and the Vikings’ All-Important Third Preseason Game™ against the Arizona Cardinals at U.S. Bank Stadium will kick off a triple-header on Saturday, 24 August.

The game will feature the Vikings playing host to the #1 overall pick in this past NFL Draft, quarterback Kyler Murray. The third preseason game is, generally, the game where the starters for both sides see the most action, so it’s nice that this is one the NFL Network chose to show live for us Vikings fans.

The game will kick off at noon Central time on that Saturday, with the second game of the triple-header featuring the Battle of Texas, with the Houston Texans taking on the Dallas Cowboys at Jerryworld. The nightcap will, as you expect, feature two West Coast teams, and two of the Vikings’ 2019 opponents, as the Seattle Seahawks take a trip down the coast to take on the Los Angeles Chargers.

When we have the broadcast/replay schedule for the rest of the NFL Network replays of the Vikings’ 2019 preseason schedule, we’ll have it for you here. For now, though, we can take solace in the knowledge that one of the Vikings’ preseason games will be viewable live for those of us not in the local market.
