...but returned to the game,

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan met with the media after the victory over the Denver Broncos to provide his thoughts on the game and provide injury updates. Safety Jaquiski Tartt, who had a heck of a game, was evaluated for a concussion. He later returned to the game. How that’s safe is beyond me, but sports!

Shanahan said the plan for Kwon Alexander was to play Week 3 against Kansas City the entire time. Fred Warner and DeForest Buckner didn’t play tonight because “we wanted to take care of our guys.” Alexander has the green light to play this coming Saturday. That’ll be fun.

Other injury updates from Shanahan:

S Adrian Colbert had a hamstring injury.

DE Damontre Moore had a dislocated thumb.

CB Tim Harris has a groin injury.

CB D.J. Reed had a shoulder injury.

Finally, Demetrius Flanning-Foweles had the wind knocked out of him.

There was no timetable given for any of these injuries. We will update once we receive more information.
