The “Oakland” Raiders’ last visit to Minnesota
In a scenario strangely reminiscent of what they faced last year, the Minnesota Vikings return home to U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon when they host the Oakland Raiders.
Last season, following a Week 2 contest at Lambeau Field, the Vikings returned home as a heavy favorite against an AFC opponent, as they were a whopping 17-point favorite over the Buffalo Bills. We all know what happened that afternoon, and it was embarrassing.
This year, the Vikings come into the game as an 8.5-point (at the present time) favorite over the Raiders, who will (likely) visit Minnesota as the Oakland Raiders as the final time on Sunday. The team is moving to Las Vegas after this season.
Both of these teams come into this contest with a record of 1-1. The Raiders played their first two games at home, defeating the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football in Week 1 and falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2. Minnesota defeated the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1 before their stumble at Lambeau Field on Sunday.
Hopefully the Vikings won’t put together a Week 3 performance this season like they did last season. We’ll have all of your coverage of this week’s game right here for you in this stream.
