The Denver Broncos could be in trouble if Joe Flacco misses any significant time in the regular season.
Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Allbright caught up with The Draft Network’s Trevor Sikkema on Tuesday to talk about the Denver Broncos. The first topic up for discussion was the addition of quarterback Brandon Allen who the Broncos picked up off the waiver wire to cover the teams backup position while rookie Drew Lock is on injured reserve.
Sikkema felt the addition was a poor fit since Joe Flacco is more of a strong armed quarterback, which is not Allen’s forte. He struggled to be efficient in the preseason, totaling 431 yards with zero touchdowns and three interceptions. Perhaps the addition says more about what the front office thought of Kevin Hogan and Brett Rypien more than anything.
They went on to discuss the rest of the late roster additions the Broncos made over the weekend that saw the team add seven new additions to the active roster after the final cut deadline had passed.
