Golden Nuggets: Quick turnaround for Thursday Night

Wednesday, October 30th, 2019 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from the Internet

Another dominating performance from the 49ers has the rest of the NFL taking notice. The offense and defense had huge days against a team that had won 4 straight games. The thorough win against the Carolina Panthers keeps the 49ers at the top of the NFC and makes them one of the top teams in the NFL. They take their 7-0 record to Thursday Night Football against a team they have not beaten since 2014 in the Arizona Cardinals.

Nick Bosa keeps shining every game. He sacked fellow rookie Kyle Allen 3 times and had his 1st interception of his career that he almost took back for a touchdown. He’s made such a huge difference on this defense that he should not only be the leading candidate for Defensive Rookie of the Year, but he should be up there for Defensive Player of the Year. He’s a game wrecker. He has 7 sacks this season and he has a great chance to beat the 49ers rookie record for sacks in a season. He may have extra motivation this week when he gets to play the guy picked right before him in the draft.

Kyler Murray was selected at #1 in this year’s draft and that was great for the 49ers because it allowed them to get Nick Bosa. A lot of experts thought that Bosa was the best player in the draft, but the Cardinals hired offensive coach Kliff Kingsbury as head coach and wanted to pair him with a dynamic quarterback. The Cardinals have been very competitive this season, but currently sit at the bottom of the NFC West. But it’s up to the 49ers to finally break the long losing streak against the Cardinals while extending their unbeaten start to their season.
