San Francisco 49ers links for Saturday November 26, 2019

It’s been awhile since we’ve done a good old fashioned poll here at Niners Nation, so why not dust it off and let everyone vote on which 49ers defensive player will have the biggest impact in Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

By all accounts this weekends game is expected to be a defensive struggle with both teams sporting top 5 defensive units. The 49ers of course have several players along the defensive line that should be expected to feast on an average Carolina offensive line and a young, inexperienced QB.

The good news for the Panthers is that rookie QB Kyle Allen has yet to throw an interception through 4 games this season. The bad news is that he has been sacked 10 times and fumbled and alarming 6 times in that same span. That could mean that Bosa, Ford, Buckner, or Armstead could have a huge role in the game, disrupting Allen and forcing a mistake.

Of course the secondary could be the beneficiary of those forced mistakes. Maybe Richard Sherman or Emmanual Mosely could land a pick or two, possibly take one to the house.

Meanwhile, the Panthers best offensive weapon - Christian McCaffrey - will be testing the 49ers linebackers all day, both in run support and pass coverage, giving Kwon Alexander and Fred Warner an excellent opportunity to be the heroes of the game.
