The hits keep coming as the Rams’ second-year OL will miss the remainder of 2019.

Sunday didn’t go as planned for the Los Angeles Rams, who feel 20-7 at home against the San Francisco 49ers. Matters have only gotten worse since.

Earlier today, the Rams announced they planned to place CB Aqib Talib on injured reserve with the potential to return in eight weeks.

And during Head Coach Sean McVay’s Monday press conference, he dropped some more unfortunate news. Starting offensive guard Joseph Noteboom is being placed on injured reserve as well with torn ACL and MCL ligaments.

This is obviously terrible news for the Rams who have already been struggling up front. Noteboom, in particular hasn’t been spectacular. RotoWorld’s Nick Mensio notes that Noteboom has graded out as Pro Football Focus’ second-worst guard out of 76 qualifiers.

His replacement, Jamil Demby, has been wholly unreliable. And McVay stated that he’s not committed to Demby stepping in as the starter leaving the door open for rookie OL David Edwards.
