A quick turnaround this week, we’re only two days from kickoff.
Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Our football addiction will be fed early this week, as the Redskins are coming to town for Thursday Night Football. I’m not a fan of Thursday Night Football, with the exception of Thanksgiving Day football. The only time I’ll watch is when the Vikings are playing, so.........I guess that means I’ll watch this week.
The Redskins are having.........one of those years. Remember the 3-13 season from not long ago (and for us.........more experienced............fans, the 3-13 Les Steckel year)? Their season is going worse than that. That’s not to say there isn’t talent on that team, because there is, so I’m hoping the team is prepared, because the last thing we want is to break this string of excellent football that the team has been playing. The last three games have been a lot of fun to watch, and the team has been firing on all eight, so I hope the team is prepped and tops off the tank with high octane. Don’t get lazy & fill the tank with old gas or they’ll foul up the plugs.
There will be a couple homecoming stories Thursday, as Kirk Cousins and Adrian Peterson will take the field and play against the teams who drafted them. I love watching Adrian Peterson play football, I will always have fond memories of him in purple. He’s one of those rare guys who got you excited every time he touched the ball, because there was a decent chance that something awesome was going to happen (Harvin was another one who comes to mind).That being said, I hope he has his only bad game of the season on Thursday. SKOL!

Sam Darnold was mic’d up, and mentioned that he was ‘seeing ghosts’ during last night’s game agains the Patriots, per The Sporting News. The social media reaction was as you’d expect. I’m just appalled that the Patriots have resorted to summoning the spirits of the dead in order to gain an advantage. I expect a full investigation by the NFL, this cheating has gotten out of hand.
