But everyone else is full speed ahead
On their second injury report of the week, the Minnesota Vikings have given us some good news and some bad news. Since we’re Vikings fans, and it’s what we’re accustomed to, we’ll go with the bad news first.
Wide receiver Adam Thielen, as expected, continues to sit out with his injured hamstring. Though various sources are reporting that he’s “hopeful” that he can play against the Washington Redskins on Thursday night, I would still be absolutely stunned if the Vikings put him out there on a short week like this. Obviously, we’ll see what the final injury report that comes out tomorrow says, but that’s my view on it.
The good news? Well, here’s the entire report.
Did Not Participate
- WR Adam Thielen (hamstring)
Limited Participation
- Nobody
Full Participation
- LB Ben Gedeon (concussion)
- DE Everson Griffen (quad, upgrade from DNP)
- DT Linval Joseph (knee, upgrade from DNP)
- LB Eric Kendricks (hip)
- G Josh Kline (foot)
- DT Hercules Mata’afa (neck, upgrade from limited)
- OT Riley Reiff (ankle)
- CB Xavier Rhodes (hip, upgrade from limited)
- TE Kyle Rudolph (thumb)
- DT Shamar Stephen (knee)
That’s right. . .of the 53 players on the current active roster for the Vikings, 52 of them were full participants in Tuesday’s practice action. Two of the three players that had been listed as “DNP” and both that had been listed as “limited” on Monday’s simulated practice report were full go on Tuesday, making the Vikings just about as healthy as you could hope a team could be at the midway point of the season.
Both teams will put their final injury reports out tomorrow, and the Adam Thielen situation will finally be answered at that point, it would appear. Once we have the news, we’ll have it here for you.
