Monday Night Football, Week 8. In tonight’s game the Miami Dolphins travel north to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The Dolphins come into this game with an 0-6 record and an obvious agenda to tank the season in the midst of a total rebuild. Old friend Ryan Fitzpatrick leads a Dolphins offense that is not the worst in the NFL for just one reason: Adam Gase.
The Steelers come into this game struggling at 2-4. They lost their future Hall of Fame quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, to injury in the first week of the season. They lost their two best weapons of the last few years, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell, over the off-season. This Steelers team is a shell of its formerly formidable self, but it should still have plenty enough to beat a woeful Miami team at home.
The Steelers have won 17 straight home games on Monday Night Football and they have the best all time Monday Night Football winning percentage in the NFL. The Steelers are 14-2 with seven consecutive victories on Monday Night Football under Mike Tomlin. The Dolphins have played the most Monday Night Football games of any NFL team and are 42-42 all time on Monday Night Football.
It’s the Dolphins and the Steelers in an AFC matchup between two former powerhouse teams that have fallen on hard times on Monday Night Football. Enjoy the game everybody.
