Monday Night Football thread: Can the Lions upset the Packers on the national stage?

Feels like we see the Packers on national TV every week

The Green Bay Packers host the Detroit Lions on Monday Night football. The Packers are 3.5 point favorites, and the total on the game is 45.5. So Vegas is predicting a score of 24-20, Packers. Green Bay will be without their top wide receiver in Davante Adams. He’s out with a toe injury. They’ll also be without rookie safety Darnell Savage.

One thing to keep an eye on this game is the Packers rushing Matthew Stafford. Green Bay is ranked ninth in pressure rate at 28.1%, and fourth in quarterback knockdown rate, at 10.2%. The Lions have allowed the nine-most quarterback hits, even with an early bye week. It’ll be tough-sledding for Detroit if they can’t protect their quarterback. I do think Green Bay’s defense is for real and makes them one of the stronger teams in the conference. Rodgers is significantly better at home, and even more impressive against opponents that he knows well.

Matt Patricia has Detroit playing sound on defense, and getting Darius Slay and A’Shawn Robinson back for this game should help.
