Rodgers vs. Maho— I mean...Matt Moore! Hooray!
What looked to be one of the most anticipated match-ups of the season has turned into a bit of a dud. It was supposed to be Aaron Rodgers vs. Patrick Mahomes. The present versus the future. The Battle of the Good Neighbors. The two most ridiculously gifted football quarterbacks on the planet.
But Mahomes’ health has finally caught up to him, and he’s missing his first game since he became a starter. Instead, career journeyman Matt Moore makes the start opposite Rodgers. Don’t underestimate Moore, but the fact that we came this close to Rodgers-Mahomes and we might never get the chance to see it in the NFL is a small tragedy.
Who knows? Maybe a Super Bowl one day?
