Brandon Scherff is still the best offensive lineman on the Redskins.
— Nick Akridge (@PFF_NickAkridge) October 23, 2019
I get the penalties have been a problem and Ereck Flowers has surprised everyone, but Scherff still has a 74.4 overall grade. That's the 9th highest among guards with at least 100 snaps.

Mahomes, Wilson, Dak, Rodgers, Brady, Cousins, Watson, Lamar, .... and the great record guys (Jimmy G, Brissett, Bridgewater, Allen), too.
The plan, according to @Saints QB Drew Brees, is to play Sunday. There are some marks he needs to hit before that happens. Still, things are trending to him getting his old job back. pic.twitter.com/cetasFSzq6

If the Browns are unable to pry Trent Williams out of Washington, the other LT I hear they are interested in is Nate Solder. They've already done a lot of business with the NYG, it's worth noting

Trading for a lineman at this stage is a move out of desperation so the price tag will be outrageous. And by the time a "new" line gels it won't even be worth it. https://t.co/0bbVH3JZy0

#Patriots WR Josh Gordon was placed on Injured Reserve today because of two bone bruises in his knee that he dealt with before the injury against the #Giants, sources say. His time in NE is likely over as they are moving on. He’ll be waived off IR when fully healthy.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 23, 2019
Source says Patriots WR Josh Gordon expects to be medically cleared soon, and that his knee injury is "minor". I was told he ran 22 MPH on the treadmill during a rehab session today.
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) October 23, 2019
Once he's cleared, he hopes to be released off of IR and sign with a new team.
The #Patriots spent a 5th round pick and a little over $2.5M on WR Josh Gordon. For that, they received 17 starts, 60 catches for 1,007 yards and 4 TDs over two seasons. A solid investment, one they are now moving on from.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 23, 2019
Josh Gordon trade wound up as:#Patriots got:
— Evan Silva (@evansilva) April 29, 2019
Gordon, who finished top-25 among NFL WRs in yards per game. NE went 8-3 when he played, 3-2 when he didn't.#Browns got Oklahoma K Austin Seibert, who never made a field goal longer than 51 yards in college as 4-year starter.
This would be one reason for the Patriots to stash him until he’s cleared. Making him go through waivers makes it less likely he gets to a contender. https://t.co/09Dboa6qYT

DE Michael Bennett addressed reporters for the first time since returning from a team suspension. At one point, he said he likes playing in New England. At another point, when asked if he is happy here, he said, “It is what it is, man.”
— Mike Reiss (@MikeReiss) October 23, 2019
Prediction: Patriots cut Michael Bennett after trade deadline or trade him to an NFC team before it. If they cut him before Tuesday, he is a free agent and can sign with one of New England’s top AFC competitors.

Always funny when folks get riled up over Juan Soto's batters' box routine. He almost always acknowledges when a pitcher gets him with a sick pitch. Watch his facial expression tonight if Verlander drops in a hammer curve. He'll give a look that says "Nice. Well played..."
