More on the Trent Williams' health: The #Redskins LT passed all parts of his physical, the team told his agent. Then he tried on a helmet and reported pain from surgery, which they are considering part of the physical. The team has 2 weeks to find a helmet that doesn’t hurt him.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 30, 2019
If the Redskins can’t find a helmet that doesn’t give Trent Williams pain by the time his roster exemption expires, the options are: He plays in pain or the team puts him on NFI (which means they can choose to pay him or not). Either way, his contract won’t toll. https://t.co/RBdtLdrZzC

Let’s try this again with more clarity:

If Williams gets paid matters, but in terms of value on the trade market the tolling (aka extending) is what matters.
If Williams accrues a season (which this says he will), then he‘ll have one year remaining when the trade market opens. https://t.co/r0iaK1gQLA

#Redskins coach Bill Callahan on Trent Williams not practicing today after “not” passing his physical.

I will let you judge from the video. pic.twitter.com/3DVEcdfL2o
Multiple #Redskins players certainly sounded like Dwayne Haskins will be making his first start on Sunday. Could just be an indication of what they saw in practice today (which could completely change tomorrow), but they’re preparing as if that’s happening.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) October 30, 2019
#Redskins LT Trent Williams showed up at the facility Tuesday & met with team officials. But he did not take a physical. That important step comes today. If he passes, the team expects him to practice and prepare, tho no one from Williams side has said he plans to do so.

Boom! I moved to DC less than 2 years ago and everyone talked about how questionable of a sports town this was. Since then, Stanley Cup champions, World Series champs. Just sayin...
— Kareem Copeland (@kareemcopeland) October 31, 2019
This is what a team that plays for each other and comes together looks like. It’s like you saw what a team of destiny really looks like. Reminds me of the Caps from two seasons ago. Congrats @Nationals on your championship. #WorldSeries2019
— Lake Lewis Jr (@LakeLewis) October 31, 2019
Dwayne Haskins has been struggling with the pre-snap process of getting in and out of the huddle efficiently, leading to a cluttered mind at the line of scrimmage. So how can the #Redskins help him with that? Follow Sean McVay’s lead https://t.co/GuozqY1WWl
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) October 30, 2019
Jays terminology isn’t more difficult than other systems, so I don’t think he went about it the wrong way. Jay took a long term approach knowing he didn’t have to start him. New guy will probably have to start him, so that means they need to dial it back https://t.co/uUwnqOfAlj

Follow-up to the #Dolphins trade for CB Aqib Talib: The expectation is that Talib, who is rehabbing a rib injury, works to recover on his own while on Injured Reserve. Don’t expect him to report to Miami at this point. The relationship with coach Brian Flores helps with the plan.

The boy is officially an Oakland Raider!
— Will Compton (@_willcompton) October 30, 2019
Thank you everyone for the overwhelming support. And thank you @Raiders for the opportunity
I think playing for the Raiders w/ the last name Compton means I’m living out my destiny.
Now to just meet @icecube and get him on @BussinWTB
WR Josh Doctson has been designated for return from injured reserve and will return to practice today.

This is the kind of interesting stuff that’ll leak out now ... if we see @jameis1of1 get deleted, it’ll be confirmation (in my opinion) that it was Licht.

Would it be hard to figure out which defenses lead the nfl in passes thrown away (I.e., passes without a target)? And to sort the results by throwaways per pass attempts? Who wants to try?

X-Axis: Points differential per game
Y-Axis: PD per game thru 7 games the next season
The 2018-2019 49ers were -5.8 PD/G last year, and are at +18.6 thru 7 games this year. I've colored them and 3 other teams.https://t.co/gouzHWxZHs pic.twitter.com/dz6GaT5YBG

If your reaction to Baker storming out of the press conference is "well it was Grossi, so he deserved it," I think you're missing the point.

Everybody wants to hear the truth until they actually get it.... I am who I am and always have been. Don’t call it emotional when it’s convenient and then passion when it fits. I care about winning, so yeah I’m frustrated. If I was to act like it’s okay to lose, then y’all would

You got 5 innings from Max Scherzer when 3 days ago you thought you weren't getting any. That's good enough. The story is at the plate for the #Nats.

I wrote a book about Greinke and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him look as comfortable in his life as he does tonight.

Grienke having the night of his life. Sitting in a rocking chair in a World Series Game 7.
— Rich Eisen (@richeisen) October 31, 2019
Zack Greinke doesn't seem to care at all about the amazing Cinderella run of the Nationals. He has been nearly flawless. He has the Nats completely befuddled. He has faced one over the minimum through 6. One hit and one walk issued.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) October 31, 2019
The #Nationals were down to their last 8 outs.
— Rich Eisen (@richeisen) October 31, 2019
3 batters later, the #Astros are down to their last 9 outs.
That's baseball.

The Washington Nationals were 19-31 in late May. Since, they have been the best team in baseball.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) October 31, 2019
Now it’s official. They are the best team in baseball. They didn’t just win one series. They won the World Series. #STAYINTHEFIGHT
#Strasburg, #Scherzer & #Corbin. Back-to-back nights of all-time displays of testicular fortitude from #Nationals’ three aces. Most spectacular in-season turnaround in D.C. sports history is complete. #Nats are #WorldSeries champions!!!

"It was an ejection that made no sense from afar. But sources said it was actually third-base ump Gary Cederstrom who got under Martinez’s skin after the inning, by yelling at him to 'control your dugout.’" @jaysonst on a wild night: https://t.co/60SsVqbQ3E
