Week 6 Monday Night Football: Patriots rooting guide, how to watch, open thread

The final game of Week 6 is here.

For the New England Patriots, Week 6 of the regular season is already in the books — the team defeated the New York Giants with a final score of 35-14 to improve to 6-0 on the year. Tonight’s primetime game will therefore be a relaxing affair, and a chance to watch two division rivals in the NFC North go at each other. So what does this mean for the Patriots? And who should their fans root for? Let’s find out:

Detroit Lions (2-1-1) at Green Bay Packers (4-1)

When: 8:15 p.m. ET

Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay WI

Television: ESPN

Live streaming: fuboTV (sign up here)

SB Nation coverage: Pride of Detroit (Lions); Acme Packing Company (Packers)

Patriots rooting guide: Go Lions? The game itself has little impact on the Patriots and the AFC’s playoff picture, so rooting for a good and injury-free game could be the way to go tonight. If you are looking for connections to New England, of course, Detroit is an easy choice — from head coach Matt Patricia to general manager Bob Quinn to Trey Flowers and Danny Amendola, they all have a history with the Patriots.
