For the Broncos, rookie linebacker Justin Hollins(Hamstring), linebacker Joe Jones(Foot), guard Ron Leary(Neck/Shoulder), center Connor McGovern(back), wide receiver Tim Patrick(shoulder), and rookie guard Dalton Risner(ankle) all sat out practice today. Their status will be something to watch moving forward this week.
Tackle Ja’Wuan James is moving closer to returning to the field after injuring his knee and missing all but a handful of snaps of the 2019 season. Head Coach Vic Fangio said that he is about 50/50 on returning this week and that he should return either this week or next. His knee injury isn’t serious but something he is still recovering from.
The Broncos offensive line is banged up with a total of three starters listed on the injury report. Two of them listed as “DNP’s” ahead of a tough matchup on the road against a good defense. If the Broncos want success against Buffalo, they will need Risner and McGovern to return to practice in some fashion on Thursday.
