The parade of injuries continues for the Jets on the offensive line. Head coach Adam Gase revealed on Monday that starting left tackle Kelvin Beachum reinjured his ankle during Sunday’s game against Washington.
Injury update: 68 (Kelvin Beachum), he reaggravated his ankle, we’ll just see how the week goes, I mean he’s in better shape than he was the first time. I do think that he feels better as far as being able to practice this week so it’s a little bit different than what initially happened where he missed time. So we’ll just see how the week plays out.
Beachum missed time earlier in the season with an ankle injury.
This wasn’t the only injury the Jets suffered on the offensive line. Chuma Edoga left Sunday’s game hurt. Here is Gase’s update on him.
Chuma (Edoga), it’s really going to be day to day for us, we did do an MRI, went through all the steps, it’s kind of like a little bit of an ankle, knee but we’re optimistic that we have an opportunity for him this week to come back, we’ll see how he feels each day.
It has been a rough year for the Jets on the offensive line. A number of injuries forcing the team to constantly reshuffle the lineup have not helped on this front.
We will wait to see the status of both players as we get closer to Sunday.
