Monday Night Football, Week 11. Tonight the Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs get together south of the border as the two division rivals clash in Mexico City, Mexico.
This game is a must win for the 4-6 Chargers, who come into the game having lost four of their last six games. A loss tonight would put the Chargers’ post season hopes on life support. The Chargers’ offense has been the chief culprit in a disappointing year, as quarterback Philip Rivers may be showing his age in one of the worst seasons of his career. Rivers’ 10 interceptions has him tied for third in the NFL in most interceptions, not the statistic in which you want to be amongst the league leaders.
Like the Chargers, the Chiefs come into this game losers of four of their last six games. As usual the defense has been the weak link for the Chiefs. The Chiefs defense has allowed 89 points in their last three games, making winning an uphill struggle. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes returned to action last week after missing time with an injury, and his return raises the Chiefs’ hopes for a late season run. A loss tonight by the Chiefs would drop them into second place in the AFC West, half a game behind the surprising Oakland Raiders.
It’s the Chargers and the Chiefs in Mexico City on Monday Night Football.
Enjoy the game everybody.
