Eric Thompson joined Sam Ekstrom to review the loss in Seattle, preview the game against Detroit, and talk all things Vikings.
With regular hosts Arif Hasan and Luke Inman out for the week, Sam Ekstrom was kind enough to invite me to be a super sub on this week’s addition of the Zone Coverage Football Machine podcast. In the first hour of the show, we recapped the tough 37-30 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, including:
- Seattle’s dominating run game
- Our assessment of Kirk Cousins’ performance
- How much the Vikings missed Adam Thielen
- Dalvin Cook’s injury (and how it could affect future contract negotiations)
- What in the world is going on with Xavier Rhodes
At the end of the hour, we did a snake-draft round of gambling picks on the Week 14 slate of games.
During the second hour of the show, we took Twitter questions and live phone calls about the futures of players like Armon Watts and Anthony Harris. We had even more discussion about Rhodes and addressed a few final issues with the Seattle game before turning our attention to the upcoming matchup against the Detroit Lions. Sam and I finished the show by giving our respective top five and bottom five teams in NFL power rankings.
Thanks to Sam and the guys letting me fill in this week. Along with our great network of podcasts here at Daily Norseman, Zone Coverage is a must-listen for any diehard Vikings fan.
