The Sunday Night Football game between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers will determine not just the winner of the NFC West, but playoff seeding is at stake as well.
Whichever team loses the game will be on the road to open the playoffs as the fifth seed in the NFC, traveling to take on the winner of the NFC East. For Seattle, a win means a home playoff game in the Wild Card round against the sixth seed Minnesota Vikings, while for the Niners a win secures home field advantage through the playoffs as the top overall seed in the NFC.
Before getting into the details of playoff seeding, however, let’s see which Seahawks will be joining Duane Brown (knee surgery) and Malik Turner (concussion) on the inactive list.
