Eagles will have depleted receiving group

The New York Giants’ much-maligned secondary appears to be getting a huge break on Sunday as the Philadelphia Eagles will be without a pair of their top offensive weapons. Tight end Zach Ertz (ribs/back) and wide receiver Nelson Agholor (knee) have been ruled out of the season finale at MetLife Stadium.

Ertz, a three-time Pro Bowler, leads the Eagles with 88 receptions. In Philadelphia’s Week 14 overtime victory over the Giants, Ertz had nine receptions on 13 targets for 91 yards. He caught the game-winning 2-yard touchdown pass from Carson Wentz.

Agholor has 39 receptions.

The Giants will be without offensive tackle Mike Remmers and tight ends Scott Simonson and Rhett Ellison, all with concussions. Ellison has been placed on IR, with Chris Slayton added to the 53-man roster from the Giants’ practice squad.
