Rookie tight end Noah Fant is coming off one of his best games of the season so his abscence on Sunday versus the Chiefs could be a major one. Fant is suffering from a hip and foot injury. So his status will be one to monitor as the week progresses.
Fellow rookie defensive end Dre’Mont Jones also sat out practice with an ankle injury. He’s suffering from a high-ankle sprain that will likely sideline him for a bit. However, a potential IR stint is not in the cards for Jones as of yet for Jones according to Head Coach Vic Fangio.
As for the never-ending injury saga that is Ja’Wuan James, it continued this week as he sat out Wednesday’s practice. When Fangio was asked about what James can do, he told reporters “We’ll see”.
“We’ll see. We’ll see how he comes out the next few days. Hopefully it’s at least as much if not more, but if his knee is still bothering him, then we’ll have to adjust.”
James returned to the field last week and he played a handful of snaps. Hopefully he can at least do that this week and hopefully start doing more going forward.
