Two NFC teams in the thick of the playoff race square off on Monday Night.
The playoff race is heating up, and the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks are in the thick of it. Both teams are currently holding down Wild Card spots, although the division leaders are within reach.
The Seahawks enters this game having won four straight games and are sitting pretty at 9-2 on the season. Despite their success, they trail the San Francisco 49ers for the NFC West crown. A win tonight would tie them atop a competitive division. Russell Wilson has been elite this season, although he had a quiet outing last week against the Eagles. Rashaad Penny had an explosive outing, and with Chris Carson struggling with fumbles, he could be in line for more work.
The Vikings are a slightly worse 8-3, but they have the benefit of a bye week to prepare for their opponents. The Vikings continue to be one of the more well-rounded teams in the NFL, and it will be a good test for the Seahawks. Kirk Cousins is having a great rebound season at the helm of the offense, Dalvin Cook is a dominant runner, and their defense is among the league’s best. Even without Adam Thielen, they are a dangerous team that has found their groove.
