It’s a battle for the NFC North crown.
The Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers have been neck-and-neck all season long, and tonight’s Monday Night Football tilt could be the deciding game.
The Packers are sitting at 11-3, a mere game ahead of the 10-4 Vikings. A Vikings win would put the NFC North title on the line in the season’s final week. A Packers victory would ensure the Vikings enter the playoffs as a Wild Card team.
The Packers have won three straight games, although these have been against Chicago, Washington, and the New York Giants — not exactly offensive powerhouses. Their defense has rebounded after a midseason slump, and they are looking to go into the playoffs in good form.
The Vikings, meanwhile, are going to be battling without their top two running backs. Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison are banged up, so Mike Boone will step into the starting role. He performed admirably in relief last week, totaling two touchdowns on the ground. The Vikings will look to keep an electric offense going with the division crown at stake.
