The Packers can take a huge step towards a playoff bye today. Tune in here to discuss with your fellow green and gold faithful.
It is finally time for the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings to kick off. The two teams meet tonight for the second and final time this season, in a game that has massive playoff seeding implications. Lose this game and the Packers can still win the NFC North, but their hopes for a playoff bye are down to a tiny glimmer. Win, and the bye will be there for the taking next week, with an outside shot at home-field advantage.
The Packers enter this game on a three-game winning streak, but one that has failed to inspire a ton of confidence in the team. Victories against the Giants, Washington, and the Bears have carried the team to an 11-3 record, but with the final two contests remaining one-possession games, convincing wins have continued to be hard to come by.
The Packers must put forth their best effort of the season tonight in a place where they have not yet one a game. U.S. Bank Stadium has been the Vikings’ home for nearly four seasons now, and the home team has won each of the three previous matchups in this building. For the Packers, exercising some road demons will be critical to keeping pace to get that off week on Wild Card weekend.
Tune in here and join us as we follow along with Packers-Vikings!
