The results are in, and the Seattle Seahawks have two 2020 Pro Bowlers on their roster.

After the fan vote earlier this week, Russell Wilson, Bobby Wagner, and Michael Dickson were the top vote-getters at their respective positions in the NFC. Both Wagner and Wilson were named to the team that was unveiled Tuesday, and will be starters.

While Wilson and Wagner are starters, Duane Brown, Chris Carson, Jadeveon Clowney, Shaquill Griffin, Mike Iupati, and Tyler Lockett have all been selected as alternates.

It is Wilson’s sixth Pro Bowl in some fashion, while Wagner makes it on the back of a season that has been criticized frequently for lack of explosiveness and questionable coverage, but he’s got a ton of tackles. Second in the NFL at 139, to be precise.

Many fans will be shocked to learn that 2018 Pro Bowl winner Jason Meyers did not repeat this season, in what will likely go down as one of the biggest slights in Seahawk history.

Nevertheless, it’s a similar Seattle entourage this year, as only Dickson and Wagner were chosen outright as 2019 Pro Bowl athletes. Russell Wilson joined them as an alternate and that completed the representation from the Seahawks last year.

The Baltimore Ravens have the most Pro Bowl nominations, at 12. It’s tied for an NFL record.

It will be multiple weeks before we have an idea if any of our beloved Seahawks will actually play in the game, however. As Seattle has a very real chance at some combination of bye or home games in the playoffs, their chances of playing real football late into January continues to increase.

The Pro Bowl will be played on January 26 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, televised by ESPN. I don’t know if that means it will be covered by Booger McFarland and Co., but best prepare yourself just in case.
