Thursday Night Football, Week 14: Cowboys and Bears meet in battle of .500 teams

Dallas Cowboys v Chicago Bears

One holds a division lead while the other is trying to return to relevance in the NFC North.

It has been a disappointing season for the Chicago Bears and a weird one for the Dallas Cowboys. Both of these two teams are 6-6 on the season, a year that started with high expectations for each franchise.

For Chicago, a 3-1 start gave way to a four-game losing streak as Mitchell Trubisky regressed from a solid year in 2018. However, just one of the teams that the Bears have beaten this season has a record better than 4-8 — that would be the 8-4 Minnesota Vikings. With four tough games remaining against Dallas, Green Bay, Kansas City, and Minnesota again, Chicago will have its work cut out to get and stay above .500 by the end of the season.

Dallas, meanwhile, holds a one-game lead in the NFC East despite their record. But much like the Bears, Dallas has not beaten a single team all year that currently holds a record at or above .500.

Can Dallas expand its lead in the East, or will the Bears threaten to become somewhat relevant in the NFC playoff chase? Tune in tonight to find out.
