Vikings Thursday injury report: Adam Thielen continues to sit out

But Linval Joseph is back

The report is out for the Minnesota Vikings’ first actual practice of this week, as Wednesday’s practice was basically a walkthrough. There are a couple of changes to the injury report, and one very important status that hasn’t changed.

Here’s the full report from Thursday.

Did Not Participate

Limited Participation

Full Participation

Yes, for the second day in a row, Adam Thielen has not taken the practice field with his teammates. This is starting to get a bit worrisome, as Thielen appeared to be on track to play in Seattle last week, at least practicing in a limited capacity, but has gone back to not practicing at all. We’ve often said that hamstrings are tricky, but this one should have us wondering if #19 is coming back at all this year.

It’s also starting to look like we’ll be looking at Rashod Hill starting at left tackle against Detroit with Riley Reiff still in concussion protocol. Hill performed pretty well in his limited time against Seattle, I thought, and hopefully he’ll be up to the task of handling all four quarters protecting Kirk Cousins’ blind side.

On the bright side, nobody was downgraded for today’s practice. Linval Joseph returned in a limited capacity after sitting out on Wednesday, and both Harrison Smith and Eric Wilson are back as full participants.

We’ve got one more injury report to go, folks, and it will be out tomorrow. Again, I’m guessing that Reiff and Thielen wind up being listed as “out,” but we’ll have to see what the rest of the report holds.
