A new name along the offensive line is emerging.
The dust has settled on the first week of 2020 for the Dallas Cowboys and apparently there will be a lot of new names on office doors at The Star. Mike McCarthy is the new head coach in town and there are going to be a lot of difference faces on the staff next season.
One of the changes is happening along the offensive line. With Marc Colombo out, the Cowboys are looking at bringing in former Miami Dolphins head coach (and Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator) Joe Philbin to man the unit, assist in the run game, and serve as an assistant coach. They seem to want to pair him with someone from the Cleveland Browns, a coach by the name of Jeff Blasko.

Blasko is from Pittsburgh just like Mike McCarthy so there is some familiarity there. McCarthy also knows him from his last job as he spent three years coaching for the Packers.
The Browns didn’t exactly have a great offensive line performance last season so it’s not like Blasko did something special. He did have some good times in Green Bay, though, so perhaps that’s what McCarthy is looking to rekindle.
