Team brings home former Akron Zip to take over return duties.
The Cleveland Browns have reportedly signed punt returner JoJo Natson.
The deal - wait for it - is reportedly for one year and will pay Natson $1 million, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport:
The #Browns are signing WR and returner JoJo Natson to a 1-year, $1M deal, source said. He spent the last two years with the #Rams.

Natson spent the past two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, averaging 22.2 yards per kick return and 8.2 yards per punt return in 2019 before a hamstring injury landed him on injured reserve after 12 games. Most importantly, he did not have any fumbles last season.
Natson’s 61.1 return grade in 2019 ranked him 26th among 54 qualifying returners. https://t.co/n8CSRDPPdl

He entered the NFL after signing with the Indianapolis Colts in 2017 as an undrafted free agent from the University of Akron. The Colts waived him at the end of training camp that season, and he signed with the New York Jets, where he appeared in seven games.
All told, Natson has played 32 career games, averaging 7.7 yards on 61 punt returns and 20.6 yards on 35 kickoff returns.
