Aldon Smith remarkably is back in the NFL. Smith has signed a 1-year, $4 million deal with the Dallas Cowboys, Jay Glazer reported on Tuesday. Smith has not played in the NFL since 2015 due to a suspension. He applied for reinstatement in 2016 but was turned down, and now he’s trying again. Nothing is official yet for the 2011 first-round pick. He still needs to be reinstated by the league, but it seems like the Cowboys are confident he will be. Smith racked up 33.5 sacks in his first two NFL seasons, but then his lack of sobriety derailed his career. He’ll turn 31 in September.
