Rams find ways to plug some holes
The Rams aren’t on the clock until the second round Friday. Sadly, my mock does get the Rams into Thursday night’s action. But I do make some trades in this mock.
Let’s go:
Second round
No. 52 Josh Uche, Michigan, edge
This is a player who goes 100 MPH every play. He has big potential. He would be a nice replacement for the departed Dante Fowler.
Trade No 57 to Las Vegas for No. 80 and No. 91.
Third round
No. 80 Logan Steinberg, Kentucky, G
The first of a few offensive lineman to start the rebuild on the offensive line.
No. 84 Nick Harris, Washington, C
Rams hope to get starters on the offensive line in the third.
No. 91 traded to New England for No. 100 and No. 139
No. 100 Troy Dye, Oregon, LB
He has a chance to grow into a starter and help right away on special teams.
No. 104 Van Jefferson, Florida, WR
He has huge potential. He could slip in a deep receiver class. This could be big for Sean McVay.
Fourth round
No. 126 Joshua Kelley, UCLA, RB
Rams stay local to add to the backfield with a player who some scouts think is best suited for the pro game.
No. 139 Antoine Brooks, Maryland, S
Potential replacement for Eric Weddle.
Sixth round
No. 199 Rodrigo Blankenship, Georgia, K
If he is here, this is a smart move for the Rams.
Seventh round
No. 234 Trey Adams, Washington, T
Former top prospect struggled late in college career. He’s a late-draft lottery ticket.
