Will @LFletcher59 suffer the same fate as Joe Jacoby as a UDFA player HOF candidate? The NFL’s 2nd leading tackler all time was SB champion, 4X PB selection and 2X All Pro 2nd Team. Hopefully fans can offer more assistance for London than they could offer JJ pre Twitter. #HTTR pic.twitter.com/3TXcjzYPJh

That’s quite the mental load to put on a young QB. If this is true, you’re utilizing an “old school” model that asks the QB to learn the system instead of building the system around the QB.

NFL owners are to be briefed by Allen Sills, the league's chief medical officer, and deal with business-related issues and workplace diversity matters during the May 19 video conference. The May 28 video conference is to deal with discussions of rule-change proposals.
— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) May 12, 2020
Rule-change proposals by individual NFL teams include sky judge, fourth-and-15 alternative to onside kick, restoring OT to 15 minutes. Those are to be considered by owners during May 28 video conference, not the May 19 video conference.
— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) May 12, 2020
Owners also could discuss replay alternatives during the May 28 video conference. The league and competition committee could propose making the sky judge system or another replay-related rule a preseason experiment.
— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) May 12, 2020
There's no urgency for owners to take votes on rule-change proposals. The biggest rule-related issue of this offseason already was resolved when the NFL and competition committee decided last month to allow the rule making pass interference reviewable by instant replay to expire.
— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) May 12, 2020
My @ESPNNFL newser: League and team officials have agreed on a proposal to raise the debt limit $150 million for each team to help make up for lost revenue in the event that games are played without fans, per sources. Will be voted on next week.https://t.co/wmEwB9YwGx

— Rich Eisen Show (@RichEisenShow) May 12, 2020
Why wasn't the union involved in the meetings to formulate the plans? A labor union should be a partner in any workplace safety conversation. https://t.co/t6YIghMMyh
— Mike Tanier (@MikeTanier) May 12, 2020
LOL. What's the plan, Van? Like, tell us all the details of the safety protocols AND the compensation package, based on your intimate knowledge of how sports teams work. https://t.co/FRNZkA9Rpj
— Mike Tanier (@MikeTanier) May 12, 2020
Wow, you sound really informed on all the details of the plan and nothing at all like a 7th grader basing your Moby Dick book report on the cover, Van! And of course, holding a remote draft is EXACTLY like hosting live games. You came across well in this discussion, Van! https://t.co/OFZ7ToftZc
— Mike Tanier (@MikeTanier) May 12, 2020
Yep! This is a series of totally true statements, made by someone with an extremely high level of useful knowledge, and not at all wishful thinking on the part of someone who wants his sports back and doesn't think of athletes as real people! You should run for office, Van! https://t.co/t6445KTo9o

The current tug of war between baseball and its union is worth watching, because the NFL and the NFLPA could end up in a similar fight as the 2020 season takes shape https://t.co/QXxLZuD5ET

Small, but some progress in sports leagues resumption: we are now past leagues -- MLB, NBA, NHL -- talking amongst themselves about playing to engaging the Players -- MLBPA, NBPA, NHLPA -- about playing. Long way to go, but business of sports negotiations have begun.
