Cleveland’s rookie wide receiver signs his deal.
The Cleveland Browns signed WR Donovan Peoples-Jones on Wednesday. He is among the first two players of the team’s seven-person draft class to be signed.
Taken in the 6th round at No. 187 overall, Peoples-Jones’ contract will be worth about $3.482 million, with a $186,608 signing bonus over four years, according to OverTheCap’s pre-determined draft chart. His cap hit in 2020 will be roughly $656,652, which is the seventh highest on the team at tight end behind Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham, JoJo Natson, Damion Ratley, Rashard Higgins, and KhaDarel Hodge.
Peoples-Jones was the team’s 7th and final player selected in the draft and their only wide receiver end picked. He is 6-2, 212-pounds and played college football at Michigan. Peoples-Jones will wear No. 11 with the Browns.
