Falcoholinks: All the Falcons news you need for Wednesday, June 3

The Falcons announced they are officially moving to Blankland, Arthur Blank’s hydrogen Zepplin currently stationed in Buenos Aires with promises to stay airborne at least 99.98% of the time. Or did they? Click to find out.

Welcome to the Falcoholinks, which is as always the brightest and earliest Falcons news roundup in recorded history. Did they finally use up some of that cap space? Maybe sign Clowney? Fire everyone?

I hope you are sitting down because the answer is... no. Not even close.

Football has taken the back burner to a lot of bigger issues facing the country, and writer Eric Robinson has truly deep thoughts on the issues of race in America. Don’t expect this to be about football. Do expect to be asked to hear his message.

The Falcons finally got that sweet post-June 1st cap space. Does that mean they will be signing some big name player? Kevin Knight explains why the top-51 rule means the Falcons have more space to sign players and the draft class.

Have we really forgot about all these former Falcons? Jerious Norwood was once one of the fastest players in the NFL and one of Atlanta’s most electric weapons for years. Dave Choate looks back on some of his best plays.

The Falcons are still a bit unsettled at tight end. While Hayden Hurst should have a big impact, he is still unproven. Behind Hurst is the unproven Jaeden Graham. You get the gist of this. The team could stand to use a proven (even declining) veteran... just in case. Here is who Cory Woodroof likes in Atlanta.

Marquand Manuel coached one of the youngest yet improving defenses in in 2017. Then a few injuries derailed everything in 2018, leading to his firing in 2019. Things didn’t improve, so Manuel got to take a bit of a victory lap in an interview with the AJC’s D. Orlando Ledbetter.

The team’s joint practices this year are gone, as first pointed out by ESPN’s Vaughn McClure.
