It seems America has caught up with most of Broncos Country: that this team has a ton of potential.
Good morning, Broncos Country!
Drew Lock and the Denver Broncos have gone national.
Over the last few weeks, America has caught up to Broncos Country on the excitement quotient for this team. They’ve realized what most us have: that this team has a ton of potential. Granted, potential means nothing if Lock and the Broncos don’t live up to it. At that point, as some on social media pointed out, they’re Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers.
On the MHR Radio Podcast, Adam Malnati and I have been excited about Lock and the Broncos since January. Then we got even more amped after the NFL draft and the offensive toys John Elway added to the team. But as we talked about, it’s nice to have the team getting national attention in a positive way for the first time since Peyton Manning retired.
In other words, it’s nice to feel excited again.
Yes, Lock and the Broncos now need to do it on the field. I, for one, think they will, but until we see it, no one will know.
In the meantime, I’ll take the excitement and hype.
