”Washington Natives”.....You are respecting the proper terminology when addressing the “indigenous” population of this land, while also not having to compromise the entirety of the brand of the organization to much. Thoughts?
At the end of the day, I just want to play football and respesent the great city of D.C. and this historic franchise to the fullest. I will respect and honor whatever decision the organization makes and deems most suitable. ✊

I whole heartedly appreciate your concerns/support for my game. I am more focused than ever on my craft, and I promise it’ll show up on Sundays. But therein lies a problem, why do I have to sit silent on issues that concern aspects of my culture. I AM MORE than just an athlete✊ https://t.co/LnDmtMXKnb

A message to my followers, I have native blood in me. 2 tribes to be exact: Shinnecok, and Blackfeet. This topic is something I’m passionate about and it affects me just as much as an other native citizen of this country.

I’m naturally a home body and 9 times out of 10 I’m prolly chillin solo! I don’t like small talk, so I’m bad at text conversations! Most of the time I hate being on my phone, cause that’s all we do so 100% of the time it’s on do not disturb! Lol I guess I’m just different ♂️

There is precedent for Arkansas State entering into a co-existence agreements with third parties
— Darren Heitner (@DarrenHeitner) July 13, 2020
Arkansas State previously entered into a co-existence agreement with Indiana University East with respect to its use of Red Wolves.
Good morning.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) July 13, 2020
Another update on 'Red Wolves'.
Arkansas State University confirms no one on behalf of Washington has approached them regarding the name yet.
On the flipside, the Chattanooga USL team (who are being taken to court by ASU) provided me with this quote; pic.twitter.com/llUMbKUxNt
I wouldn't worry too much about the copyright thing. Remember the Seahawks and Texas A&M fighting over "12th Man"? Money solves these problems. And the NFL has money.

@dcsportsbog's article, which tells the story of McCauley's approach to use and is verifiable with TM Office docs, certainly lays the groundwork to challenge his Washington Red-Tailed Hawks registrations as based solely on token use. 6/https://t.co/dHtOq9i47G
— Joel Feldman (@TrademarkJoel) July 13, 2020
TL;DR - if the Washington NFL team wants to adopt the Red Wolves as its new name, it should focus first and foremost on @ArkansasState. McCauley has the potential to frustrate and delay the NFL team's brand management strategy, and for that he may luck into some nuisance $. 8/8
— Joel Feldman (@TrademarkJoel) July 13, 2020
It's time to lay off @MartinMcCaulay.
— Darren Heitner (@DarrenHeitner) July 14, 2020
He's made it clear that he filed for a bunch of Washington-related TM applications as an expensive hobby. He's willing to assign them for free. Basically, he's not standing in the way of the NFL team. Can't speak for other applicants though.
To repeat ourselves, The Hog Sty spoke directly to McCauley twice in the past 7 days, and he gave no indication of wanting to hold up a trademark by the team; in fact, he specifically said the opposite. https://t.co/1iI9gGenlI
— TheHogSty (@TheHogSty) July 14, 2020
Hi everyone I need to clear something up. I want them to change the name and am embarrassed if I did anything that slows that down. I thought if I hoarded all the good names that would keep someone else who might be a pain in the neck from getting them.

— Brandon Thorn (@BrandonThornNFL) November 8, 2019
One thing with Rivera is that he’s been extremely consistent. He’s stated multiple times he wants to get to know the players first before giving out any extensions. Was the case with Trent Williams and Quinton Dunbar. Seems to be the same with Scherff. https://t.co/gjl5yaoZmJ
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) July 14, 2020
I don’t necessarily disagree. They’re a better team with Trent, Dunbar and Scherff. But he’s setting a precedent that means you need to earn his trust and respect before being rewarded, no matter good you are. Can see why he’s taking a hard stance in year one
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) July 14, 2020
Harmon was expected to compete to start opposite Terry McLaurin. Now Antonio Gandy Golden and Cody Latimer will be the two most likely candidates.

The #Chiefs and star DT Chris Jones have reached an agreement on a 4-year extension worth $85M, per the Katz Bros. $60M total guarantee upon signing. A long time coming, but Jones gets his deal, and KC locks in a big one.

— Andrew Siciliano (@AndrewSiciliano) July 14, 2020
From NFL Now: How do you do a big-money deal in a pandemic? DT Chris Jones took no signing bonus and will make roughly the same in 2020 as he would've on the tag. The #Chiefs gave him a lot more guaranteed money. Smart work on both sides. pic.twitter.com/FhN0RjaHlK
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) July 14, 2020
Thats a pretty solid deal for Jones. Taking the tag year out its basically a 3 year extension for $21.3M. Considering he was going to be stuck on the tag for a year that is probably how he should be looking at it.
