NFLPA worried about opening training camp in “hot spot” cities

The NFLPA is stepping in to raise legitimate concerns about the NFL’s plan to have teams start training camps on time in a few weeks.

With training camp rapidly approaching and Coronavirus on the rise around the country, questions of safety are beginning to surface. The NFLPA thinks it may become difficult for the NFL to stick to its training camp schedule with several states and cities marked as “hot spot” locations for COVID-19.

If those key dates are missed, then we’ll likely see not just the start of training camp delayed, but also the start of the regular season delayed. If the latter is delayed it could mean games being cancelled. One thing is certain, if training camp is delayed there will likely be zero preseason games.

Not a good sign for those of us looking forward to some NFL action in a few weeks.
