Comet NEOWISE, a retrograde comet with a near-parabolic orbit discovered on March 27, 2020 by the NEOWISE space telescope.

If it’s up in your area, it can be seen with the naked eye in dark areas that have clear views of the northeastern horizon. It is better viewed with binoculars or a spotting scope.

As the comet travels through space, if it does not decrease in intensity it may be viewable next week in the northwestern sky near the horizon just after sunset.
