Update on Floyd Little’s health

Denver Post Archives Denver Post via Getty Images

Broncos Country has shown up for Floyd, but there’s still work to be done.

I first shared Floyd Little’s battle with cancer here on Mile High Report back on June 1st. Since then, Floyd’s Go Fund Me has more than doubled in size, but it’s still only halfway to its goal.

On Friday, the Go Fund Me organizer, Patrick Killorin, posted this update regarding Floyd and the funds raised for his treatment.

Dear Friends of Floyd,

Today, I prayerfully reach out to update you on what YOUR donations have accomplished in Floyd and DeBorah Little’s fight against cancer, and to ask you to consider making one more gift to get them across the finish line.

More than 620 of YOU have contributed $129,284! MORE THAN HALF of our $250,000 goal to cover the daunting and mounting medical costs of treating the catastrophic cancer that has turned Floyd and DeBorah’s life upside down.

BECAUSE OF YOU, they haven’t had to delay or turn down any of the time-sensitive, critical, lifesaving treatments #44 needs that get tangled in the bureaucracy of insurance and approvals. Just this week, Floyd received spinal surgery to remove a tumor causing intense pain and other debilitating cancer-related symptoms. DeBorah reports that today he is finally SMILING again!

Next steps are to admit him to a physical therapy rehabilitation clinic to strengthen his body and get him eating again to meet the challenges of upcoming radiation. He cannot welcome visitors, not even DeBorah, during this phase. So, as we await results of a CT Scan and blood tests to determine whether the chemotherapy was as successful as we believe, let’s remove any foreseeable financial barriers and make one more donation of any amount to this worthy cause.

YOU have donated, YOU have prayed, YOU have shared the fundraiser link more than 2,100 times across social media. Will you please help Floyd by continuing to donate, pray and share this request?

For maximum impact, we ask that you make a tax deductible gift directly to the Syracuse Football Club to avoid GoFundMe’s exorbitant processing fees. Just CLICK THIS LINK: https://syracusefootballclub.com/product/floyd-little-sfc-support-fund/. Reach out with any questions! Also, if you prefer, you may also mail a check directly, made out to Floyd Little SFC Support Fund (please write: Friends of Floyd in the memo) PO BOX 15009 Syracuse, NY 13215.

“I love you. Please keep praying for us.” - DeBorah Little

When the Broncos were in danger of relocating to another city, Floyd Little stepped up for the city of Denver by helping to raise funds for a stadium expansion. Simply put, there would be no Denver Broncos were it not for Floyd Little... and now Floyd needs Broncos Country’s support. Consider making a donation today to help Floyd out in his battle against cancer.
