Arizona Cardinals sign Angelo Blackson per report

The Arizona Cardinals made some moves to get to their initial 53-man roster on Saturday and in a week we will see how different that looks, as the Arizona Cardinals have already made one move.

According to Aaron Wilson, the Cardinals have agreed to sign former Houston Texans defensive end Angelo Blackson.

Blackson has spent his entire career in the AFC South, playing as a fourth round pick with the Tennessee Titans from 2015-2016 and then catching on with the Houston Texans.

Blackson was a part time starter in Houston his first couple of seasons, then started all 15 games he played in in 2019.

The soon to be 28-year old Blackson has 3.5 sacks and 7 tackles for loss in his career.

Blackson has been a solid run stopper, with limited pass rush as a pro. He’s an anchor 34 defensive end type who could give the Cardinals some more beef up front against teams in the NFC West that love to run the football.

The Cards now have a decision on who will be getting cut from their first 53.

Welcome to the desert, Angelo.
