It’s an NFC South showdown.
Tonight’s Thursday Night Football might have the bottom two NFC South teams, but it could still provide some entertaining football.
Through seven games, it still feels difficult to determine what kind of team the Carolina Panthers are. Teddy Bridgewater has looked great at times, awful at others. Mike Davis has performed admirably in the stead of Christian McCaffrey, but after averaging just 2.6 yards per carry in his previous two games—both losses—the luster has worn off. On the defensive side of the ball, it is clear that the team is still missing Luke Kuechly. Former Lion Tahir Whitehead has struggle on a middling defense.
The Atlanta Falcons need no introduction. Read this article to get a summary of this 2020 Falcons season. The Falcons are inventing new ways to lose games, and it is honestly impressive. I would not be surprised if they fumbled on a game-winning field goal attempt that Carolina returns for a game-winning touchdown. Place your bets.
