The Atlanta Falcons take on the Carolina Panthers
The 1-6 Atlanta Falcons are on the road against the 3-4 Carolina Panthers. Teddy Bridgewater and the Panthers are -1.5 point favorites in this one, with the total in the game at 52. Both defenses aren’t very good, but the weather isn’t supposed to be great, and the winds are reportedly going to pick up around kickoff.
If you haven’t seen Carolina’s offense this year, offensive coordinator Joe Brady won’t be an offensive coordinator for very long. He’s brilliant, and I’m secretly rooting for him to join Deshaun Watson in Houston next year. Atlanta has the second-worst pass defense per DVOA. Brady will get to see this team for the second tie this season, and I’m expecting Carolina to put points on the board.
Nobody is going to confuse this Carolina defense with the ‘85 Bears. The Panthers have the third-worst run defense and show little resistance upfront. Cornerback Rasual Douglas has surprised this season, but he remains on the COVID list. This game should be high scoring as Julio Jones did not suit up the last time these two teams played.
Enjoy it.
